Home made? HOME MADE?! Even the suits they used for the films weren’t this amazing!

Toby mentioned that the film’s suitmakers actually contacted this guy to see if he’d be willing to show them how to make that functioning faceplate in the bottom gif (the movies have to CGI that).

He turned them down, preferring to keep the technology secret.
